The Blue Flame Pro is the fastest machine in Louisville Slugger's Blue Flame line — throwing 30 to 58 MPH (up to 65 MPH with restricted-flight balls) so hitters see game-realistic velocity in the backyard, the cage, or the outfield. At just 17.5 lbs with no electricity or batteries, it sets up anywhere in seconds and throws pitches, hard grounders, and high fly balls from a single machine.
Faster, more game-like reps — the 30–58 MPH range challenges advancing hitters that the standard Blue Flame (18–45 MPH) can't reach.
Smoother, more consistent throws — an upgraded ball-bearing throwing mechanism and arm deliver repeatable location.
Easier to operate — the redesigned foot pedal takes less force, so one coach can run a full batting-practice session solo.
One machine, three drills — level pitches, hard grounders for infield work, and high fly balls for the outfield.
Go anywhere — 17.5 lbs, no cords, no batteries; fits in the back seat of any car.
Multi-ball compatible — regulation baseballs and softballs, plus tennis, dimple, and plastic balls.
League-trusted — official pitching machine of Babe Ruth League and Pony Baseball & Softball.
Blue Flame Pro vs. standard Blue Flame
Deciding between the two? The Pro steps up with higher velocity (30–58 MPH vs. 18–45 MPH), a ball-bearing throwing arm for smoother throws, and an easier foot pedal. If your hitters are getting older or faster, the Pro keeps batting practice challenging.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Pro different from the standard Blue Flame?
The Pro throws faster (30–58 MPH vs. 18–45 MPH) and adds a ball-bearing throwing arm and an easier foot pedal for smoother, more consistent throws.
Does it throw softballs too?
Yes. It handles regulation baseballs and softballs, plus tennis, dimple, and plastic balls.
Can one person run it?
Yes. The redesigned foot pedal takes less force, so a single coach or parent can feed and operate it during a long session.
Do I need a net or screen?
We recommend pairing it with the Flex Net Protective Screen for safety while you feed the machine — see recommended products below, or save with the Blue Flame Pro bundle.
What if a part wears out?
Replacement springs and throwing arms are available in our store, so you can keep the machine in service season after season.
